Ride along side roads and discover the villages of the province of Girona, roam through the beautiful nature parks and visit some enchanting mountain hamlets. Or admire the most spectacular mountain landscapes you could ever imagine. And if you need more adrenalin or want to satisfy your urge for freedom and adventure then why not try some downhill riding?

Waterpark

Platja d’Aro has a waterpark with the widest variety of slides, swimming pools and attractions for everyone. Dive into pure enjoyment! The facilities are safe and suitable for every age, so there’s nothing standing in the way of complete bathing pleasure.

Hiking

The Costa Brava offers such an endless choice of footpaths that it’s difficult to decide which to take: explore the region on long-distance hiking trails (rutas de gran recorrido, GR), short-distance trails (pequeño recorrido, PR) and the local paths (senderos locales, SL). Or discover the beautiful coastal paths (camino de ronda or camí de ronda) which extend along the coast where another beach or wild and romantic cove awaits you behind every rocky outcrop. Relax, take a deep breath and continue on your way!

Cycling

The Carrilet way is a 39,7KM pedestrian and bicycle path running from Sant Feliu de Guíxols to Girona, where it connects with another that reaches the Pyrenees. It is accessed in Platja d'Aro from the bike path on the 11 de Setembre Avenue and, following the banks of the River Ridaura, reaches the Castell d'Aro Station, where it joins this old railway track that has been reconverted into a bike path. The route is sign-posted and perfectly conditioned with bridges and handrails.
