The Day of the Rose and the Book, a Cultural Holiday in Catalonia
The tradition of Sant Jordi can be traced back to the 18th century, when it was celebrated as a Catalan holiday. Since then, it has consolidated itself as a day of tradition and emotion, when lovers exchange a rose and a book as a gift. The day of Sant Jordi, the patron saint of Catalonia, is today a popular, civil and cultural holiday and in the recent years has achieved international acclaim in different countries around the world.

In 1995, the UNESCO, upon insistence by the Generalitat of Catalonia, declared April 23 as the World Book Day and Author's Rights. Today, the celebration of Sant Jordi as the Day of the Rose and the Book is complemented with different cultural and civil events through out Catalonia.

We have been some years in the Pinell. We had a very lovely vacantion. The appartement was very clean. The service was optimal and always friendly. Nice swimmingpool with a lot off seats to rest. A very nice web site proficiat.

I think that your new web-site is nice.
But if you want to atrackt people that have never been to Platja d'Aro before, you should have one sheet with pictures and info about the choises that the city has to offer. Maybe Aquadiver, the Magicpark ( both of them ) pictures of the beach and some of the romantic restaurantes...??
